Professor
Betancor is a leading researcher in nutrition at the Institute of
Aquaculture, University of Stirling, where she focuses on advancing
sustainable aquaculture nutrition. Her work explores omega 3 long chain
polyunsaturated fatty acids, fish lipid metabolism, and the development of
sustainable feed alternatives, including oils derived from transgenic
Camelina sativa. She has contributed extensively to improving fish health,
welfare, and nutritional efficiency through innovative feed strategies. Professor
