Nigel
works within Scotland’s finfish aquaculture trade body (Salmon Scotland)
as their Planning Officer, where he articulates sector needs to local
and central government policymakers, and supports member companies with
policy interpretation, and delivering workshops on planning policy and
practice. He graduated in 2020 from Heriot Watt university with a BSc in
Marine Biology, where he developed an interest in how scientific research
informs marine planning and management. He then went on to complete an MSc in
Marine Systems and Policy at the University of Edinburgh. As the new VP of
YAS, he plays an active role in providing educational initiatives for
young professionals in the aquaculture sector.
