Professor Mark Inall FRSE became the Scottish Government’s Chief Scientific Advisor Marine in July 2024. He is a marine physicist with 34 years of experience and leads marine physics research at the Scottish Association for Marine Science. He previously directed the Scottish Alliance for Geoscience, Environment and Society (SAGES). He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in April 2026.
