Biography

Anne
Anderson is the founder of TirMara Advisory, where she supports organisations
navigating regulatory reform, resolving complex regulatory challenges, and
advancing sustainable development and longt-erm  strategy across both marine and terrestrial
sectors.

She previously served as Head of Sustainability & Development at
Scottish Sea Farms, overseeing the landmark Billy Baa (4,100 tonnes) and Fish
Holm (6,000 tonnes) developments – the largest in both the company’s and
Scotland’s farming history – and championing a progressive farming model
designed to improve fish health, environmental performance and economic
resilience. Prior to this, Anne held senior roles across the public and
private sectors, including Chief Officer for Regulation at SEPA and
Sustainability Director at Salmon Scotland.
Her work now centres on enabling futurefacing systems – on land or at sea –
that build the resilience and strategic clarity needed for sustainable
growth. With a particular focus on aquaculture and Scotland’s wider food and
drink sectors, she champions approaches that strengthen rural industries,
enhance environmental performance, and secure long-term investment
confidence.Through TirMara Advisory, she supports organisations to build,
resolve and grow in ways that position Scotland’s blue and green economies to
thrive through 2050 and beyond.
